The Central region is to start to lose its analogue signals
from March 30th 2011 when Nottingham will change followed on April 6th
by Bromsgrove, Lark Stoke, Ridge Hill and The Wrekin. The Malvern and
Sutton Coldfield transmitters are yet to be
accuarately announced but will be changed some time in 2011. For more

The Central area is scheduled to lose its analogue broadcast service
in late 2011. At that time those people without access to digital
reception will lose their ability to watch live TV. Freeview, Freesat,
BT Homevision and Sky all provide access to digital TV reception
LOCALLY With Freeview and Freesat both offering free-to-air ie non
subscription based broadcasting.
Freeview has been heralded as the most direct replacement for the old analogue service but locally many people have had to invest in upgrading their aerials in order to achieve consistantly good reception. At Express TV we have already helped countless people to make the transition. Our aerial rigging facilities have helped people to overcome reception problems so that we are ideally positioned to offer a one-stop solution.
Sky Digital, whilst reliant on subscription, continues to offer the greatest variety of premium movie and sports-based programming.
At Express TV we have access to dedicated Sky installation specialists and a sales team with the tools and training to help guide people to the right Sky viewing package. Sky also provide a wealth of channels in High Definition quality.
Freesat is a relative newcomer in digital broadcasting, having only
become available in summer 2008 but it is already providing an
invaluable lifeline for those people in areas where terrestrial
reception is poor (areas such as the Fruitlands estate in Malvern
Wells) as it receives signals via satellite. The other significant
benefit is that Freesat already offers High Definition content for BBC
and ITV WITHOUT SUBSCRIPTION.
Freeview HD is now another alternative to receiving High Definition,
but locally as of yet we can't receive it until the period September
2011
